Invitation to Nestlé Cooking Demo on Light and Healthy

Villa Alejandro

Last April 24, our group in the office went on an overnight stay at the Villa Alejandro in Pansol, Laguna. Coming from Makati, it took us about 2 1/2 hours to reach the place, this includes the traffic that we encountered in Sucat, Parañaque (a side trip to pick up some supplies).

It was actually quite a day, beginning with the problem encountered in the office, then the service that we were supposed to use arrived 2 hours late! The weather did not cooperate with us, it was drizzling all the way to Laguna, combine with the traffic, everybody was already in their element.

So, it was a relief when we arrived, though we took one wrong turn, and had to ask somebody which road to turn to....everybody rejoiced as soon as our feet touch the ground. Then everybody rushed inside to check out the house and change into their suits.

Looking the place over, we saw 2 swimming pools. One bigger than the other. One hotter than the other.

The pool above is the bigger one, where the water is warm. The smaller pool is hotter, it has steam coming out of it when we arrived. It was so hot, that all we can do was to put our feet in.

The house is quite big, it has 4 bedrooms, 1 on the ground floor, and 3 on the second floor. We were only allowed the use of the ground floor room and the 2 on the 2nd. The master bedroom is closed for the exclusive use of the owner.

Looking out the house early in the morning, you would see fog enveloping Mount Makiling.

Beside the steps going up the pool area sits this frog.

There's a lounging chair beside the small pool.
We were not able to use it since we were busy playing around.

This is an antique karetela wheel that was used decorate the side of the picnic table.
It was said that the wood from this table came from Ilocos.

It rained hard just as we were about to leave for home. It felt as if the house wanted us to stay there a bit longer. (wishful thinking) Passing by several Colette's take home pasalubong, we bought buko pies and other delicacies.

where's the sun? has summer ended? a rainy morning to all.

In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person whom you love rather than expecting them to hold yours...

my desk is a mess, so many clients requesting for certifications...and i thought this was my lucky day...
Being good in your work does not put you ahead of others, especially if they are younger and prettier.

notice how over humid it is when you step out of an air conditioned vehicle and your glasses fogged up. then you step aside to wipe the glasses before crossing the streets.

too much work, too little time...
Some of the loveliest hours we spend are the ones we share in the thoughts of a friend. :)
